Creative Commons licenses

Creative Commons licenses are copyright licenses issued by the nonprofit organization ‘Creative Commons’, an organization dedicated to the expansion of copyright and legal sharing of copyright works. To overcome complications caused by current copyright laws, these licenses allow developers to specify the kind of rights that they hold. Creative Common provides various types of licenses, which developers can use when publishing their works online. All these efforts aim to deal with the implications of an increasingly restrictive and dominant culture of copyright licenses.
