e-Publishing

E- Publications in NISRT include an expanding list of Greek scientific journals in their digital version.The National Documentation Centre(EKT) is the electronic publisher of peer-reviewed and accredited scholarly journals, journals of established status and open access editions. E-publications are a result of EKT’s strategic partnerships with editors, institutions and cultural bodies of established status. EKT has also developed a fully integrated ePublishing environment based on open software, a digital platform which integrates peak technologies and applies international standards at all levels –data organization, preservation and services–.

Historein

Historein is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access electronic journal published annually by the Cultural and Intellectual History Society (Athens). It is both historical and interdisciplinary in its perspective. It is thus situated within a scholarly “free trade" zone that encourages the interaction between history, philosophy, social anthropology, sociology, gender and labour studies, epistemology, literary and cultural studies. Its main aim is to promote the study of themes and phenomena that cannot be approached solely from within one discipline.

Byzantιna Symmeikta

“Byzantina Symmeikta” is an international peer-reviewed journal published by the Institute for Byzantine Research (IBR) of the National Hellenic Research Foundation (NHRF) since 1966. The online version of the journal provides open access to original research, publications; book reviews in the field of Byzantine studies and maintains a high standard of scholarship.

Deltion of the Christian Archaeological Society

Since 1892, The Christian Archaelogical Society (ChAE) publishes the peer reviewed academic journal “Deltion”, a journal with international appeal. Deltion’s online edition facilitates access to a rich collection of academic papers devoted exclusively to issues of Byzantine and Post-Byzantine Archaeology and Art.

INE Newsletters

Since 1990, the INR/NHRF Newsletter is an annual periodical publication which presents the scientific and research activities carried out in the Institute for Neohellenic Research. It also serves as a vehicle for communication between Neohellenists in Greece and the rest of the world.

Makedonika

The peer-reviewed academic journal “Makedonika” has been edited by the Society for Macedonian Studies since 1940. The journal scientific focus is the collection, recording, categorization, preservation and publication of all kind of material (antiquities, language data, archives, folk culture) related to Makedonia.

Mnimon

The Society for the Study of Modern Hellenism publishes the peer-reviewed scientific journal “Mninon” since 1971. The online edition of the journal is now available and visitors can browse through a rich collection of papers, articles and book reviews focused on Neohellenic history and engaging with broader methodological and theoretical issues in the science of History.

Preschool & Primary Education

The journal Preschool & Primary Education is published by the Laboratory of Pedagogical Research and Applications of the Department of Preschool Education of the University of Crete. It aims to contribute to the development of scientific dialogue and the dissemination of scientific knowledge produced in the international field of preschool and primary education.

Research Notebooks

“Research Notebooks” were established in 1982 as an edition which announces and presents the results of research conducted by the Institute for Neohellenic Research.

Tekmeria

Academic peer-reviewed journal issued by the Institute of Greek and Roman antiquity/National Hellenic Research Foundation. The journal publishes innovative peer-reviewed papers on the Hellenic and Roman antiquity. Indexed at DOAJ, “Tekmiria” is the updated version of the journal “Tekmeria” which the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki edited since 1995.

EKT’s ePublishing services include, most significantly, the organization, documentation and organized dissemination of metadata and content of scholarly journals, the training and consulting services on issues such as intellectual property, the standardization of editorial processes according to internationally accepted standards, the inclusion of content and metadata in international content indexers and harvesters via interoperable systems. E-publishing services are addressed to public institutions, editing bodies, and publishers of accredited scholarly journals as well as to the wider public and based on open source software aim to develop an integrated online ePublishing environment interoperable with international e-infrastructures.
