Digital Content

The term ‘Digital Content" refers to digital information that is available in variety of formats (text, audiovisual material, etc.). Digital content can be described by its form, shape, size, frequency of renewal and adaptation, its criticality, graded access, distribution requirements, methods for its reading and its compatibility with other forms of content. In an era where free public access to reliable, quality digital content becomes an increasingly necessary condition for collective progress,  in NISRT we are occupied with critical issues concerning the distribution of digital information as a public good and its long-term preservation through sophisticated information systems –e.g. digital repositories–. NISRT’s portal ( provides rich digital content –such as digital repositories, e-publications, digital libraries– constantly enriched and improved in quality.
